The Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe

Description

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, primarily a young adult and children’s book, by C.S Lewis, evoked a strong sense of magic and mystery. An Illustrative design that involved into surreal elements evoked the mood of an inviting mystery while also keeping it light hearted.  A dynamic forest scene made of paper elements sets the mood and tone of the story, and an ambiguous light source evokes a surreal moment as in time but out of it, a theme within the Chronicles of Narnia.

Nobel Peace Prize Branding

Description

World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureate extensive Bid project with 10 designers. My part in this extensive project was concept design, strategy design, campaign design, website design and execution, and interactive info graphic and execution.  I worked with two other designers specifically on executing the website and info graphic materials, and did research and executions of early stages in the conceptual design process. The bid book was put together by the team’s creative director and assistant and is here to provide context to the vast array of work completed.

Panther Bikes

Description

Redesign of Georgia State University’s student led organization “Panther Bikes”. Scope of this project included a new logo, print materials for distribution, and an awareness campaign. This was a 4 member group project, and my contribution was in concept design, collateral design, distribution, presentation, and data recording. Our goal was to effect a measurable result through a design intervention. We paired up with panther bikes to help bring about an awareness about the services provided through panther bikes on campus.

Description

Print brochure catalogue that explored new ways to bring design and fashion together in an artistic catalogue of looks. Art directed several photo-shoots as well as took the images, and conceptualized the clothing styles and mood of overall piece.

Curriculum Kit

 

Description

Collaborative project that I art directed. Each member of a 6 person team designed a different kit focusing on Great Civilizations such as Greece, Rome, Aztecs, Vikings, Egypt and China. Each of the kits include 3 teaching tools, a promotional poster, and teacher’s guide.

I focused on delegating responsibilities as art director and communicated with each team member as we sorted through ideas concepts and development of the scheme as a whole.

Tool 1: A booklet informing kids on calligraphy, and gives them assignments to complete including making their own booklet. It include a sumi brush, sumi rice paper, and ink well.

Tool 2: A map of the silk road with informational tokens that have assigned numbers to be placed on the map as the teacher directs the class. Meant to be a class discussion tool.

Tool 3: A take home compass slip with instructions on how to make a compass as a homework assignment.

Teacher’s Guide includes instruction on how to use each teaching tool and a powerpoint presentation for the teacher to use as an aid.

Description

This was a campaign that I conceptualized and executed to communicate the harm of bullying and engage the younger demographic to not only stop but be apart of helping others. A poster and spot ad were the main components of the project, and I collaborated with a video specialist.

Yali Wine Bottle

 

Description

Yali Wine reserve is dedicated to helping national reserves for endangered marsh birds. This mindset is communicated through the concept design of freedom, movement, action, and elegance.  Paired with a unique wine bottle holder that suspends the design as though in flight, it re-enforces the brand and adds an extra element of class to the purchase.

Fugees Brand Identity

 

Description

This was a semester long project with 6 other designers where we established our own creative agency and rebranded the Fugees Family, a non profit refugee after school soccer program founded by Luma Mufleh.

My specific parts in this large project were the designs of the final logo, stationary, packaging elements, promotional posters, donation brochure, and promo video. Please see below for the attached brand book and process book.

Description

The AJMF, held annually, asked a group of 21 creatives to collaborate and suggest potential posters for the following years festival. These were the poster designs that I art directed and executed.
My Ears Are on Fire:
By referencing old rock and roll posters, vintage textures, collage, strong color pallets, and bold imagery, both young and old demographics were targeted.
Festival in the Sky:
Harmony, resonance, motion and joyous are words that I kept in mind while approaching the second poster. It has a very different feel from the first, and was intended to evoke a light, emotionally engaging, and dynamic atmosphere.

National Building Museum

 

Description

The viewers of the Blueprints Magazine include designers, architects, historians, and artists and would be circulated by the National Building Museum, libraries and through the web. The attitude of this magazine engages visual senses. Architecture in Africa was the focus of this edition, and as a suggested redesign of the original publication, I included a newly designed table of contents spread, sample editorial piece, museum add, news column, and info-graphic page. The current museum site only had an index of articles and not the full publication featured, so the redesign also included mocked up web spreads for a potential website specifically for the magazine.
